The Libyan commercial banks start Tuesday the 2019 family's dollar grant after the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) has announced it earlier this month.

The 500 dollars for each Libyan citizen is sold to families at the CBL official currency exchange rates.

The CBL increased last year the amount of the grant from 500 dollars to $1000 and thus all commercial banks started to allow citizens to buy another 500 dollars to fulfill the decision.

In last February, the CBL said the late procedures of starting the 2019 family's dollar grant was due to a malfunction in the National Identity Number System, saying resolving the issue would be at the hands of executive authorities.
