The Libyan-Turkish Forum for Enterprise Development wrapped up in Istanbul Thursday, with Libya's Ministry of Economy and Trade taking part.

The forum produced several recommendations on developing the labor market and granting relevant authorities more powers to progress in the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises and the Credit Guarantee Fund.

The participants called for opening the door for people with pioneering ideas in the private sector that support small and medium enterprises and to activate Islamic banking programs in all their recognized forms.

On the funding front, the forum stressed the need to reconsider the policies of the Central Bank of Libya, grant more powers to commercial and specialized banks in the field of investment, and facilitate legal transactions in order to complete the financing process for the National Program.
