The Libyan Minister of Economy, Mohammed Al-Huweij, met with the Egyptian ambassador to Libya, Mohammed Salim, on Tuesday and discussed the preparations for the meeting of the Libya-Egypt high committee that will be held in the third quarter of 2021.

The meeting will be discussing activating the joint agreements between Libya and Egypt in economy and investment, as well as in free transportation, residency and ownership.

Al-Huweij reiterated the need for resuming Libyan flights to Cairo airport and facilitating the entry of Libyans to Egypt from all borders, calling for holding exhibitions in Benghazi for Egyptian products and organizing a Libya-Egypt businesspersons gathering on the margins of the exhibition to encourage investment and private sectors in the two countries.

He also invited Egypt to participate in the Tripoli International Fair next September to boost trade exchange between the two countries and to find an overseas market for Libyan products.
