The export subsidy advisor at the Ministry of Economy, Khaled Moussa, has said that Chinese imports to Libya will be reduced on the backgrounds of the coronavirus outbreak.

The recent Ministry of Economy statistics indicates that Chines imports to Libya in 2018 amounted to more than one billion and 300 million dollars.

Chinese imports represent 10.6 percent of Libya's total imports, according to Moussa, noting that it's the fourth market in Libya, before, comes the UAE, and Turkey, while Italy is the largest supplier of goods to the Libyan market.

Earlier, the National Centre for Disease Control confirmed that there is no risk from goods coming from China, explaining that the virus does not live for long periods on the surfaces of goods or messages.
