Crude oil flow to Al-Zwitina port had stopped due to closing the oil pipelines by job-seeking protesters, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) said yesterday.

The spokesperson of the NOC, Mohammed Al-Harari, clarified that the protesters shutdown the oil pipeline that flows through the port, adding that several oil fields had been closed in the east as well.

”Closing such oil fields is to have a tremendous negative effect on Libya’s production.” Said Al-Harari.

On the other hand, an official in Al-Zwitina Port said that the port’s security situation is normal, pointing out that it is still open technically speaking.
