French Ambassador to Libya, Beatrice de Helen, expressed the desire of French companies to enter the Libyan market in the fields of investment and trade and contribute to the development of the energy, health, and education sectors.

Accompanied by representatives of French companies operating in Libya, as well as companies that wish to enter the Libyan market, de Helen met with Libya's Minister of Economy, Muhammad al-Hawaij, to confirm her country's willingness to develop relations with Libya and to establish a long-term partnership and cooperation in the areas targeted by the Libyan government's plan.

For his part, Al-Hawaij emphasized that the Government of National Unity (GNU) is also keen to enhance cooperation in various fields, including in investment, trade, renewable energy, reconstruction, and infrastructure areas, besides raising the performance of workers in the education and health sectors.

The minister stressed Libya's desire to conclude and develop agreements in a way that enhances stability and contributes to supporting the national economy and the government's services, which is among the GNU's priorities, according to his statement.

He instructed to form a Libyan-French Business Owners Council that would chalk a partnership plan between the two countries in investment and trade areas and contribute to raising the level of trade exchange and communication between economic actors.
