Tatweer Research and MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab Region have launched Enjazi Competition for Entrepreneurs with the aim to foster innovation by the youth and strengthen Libya's economy.

The competition was kicked off Saturday and aims to be open for applications until June 01, 2017, as the finals for the competition will be held on December 14, 2017.

"Winners of the Enjazi Startup Competition will be awarded a trip to London's Startup Hub." A statement by the organizers stated.

"We're very pleased to launch the Enjazi Competition in partnership with MIT Enterprise Forum Pan Arab as it will boost development and support of entrepreneurs in Libya." Said The CEO and GM of Tatweer Research, Khaled Al-Mufti.

According to the organizers, this new competition targets youth aspiring to start their technology projects which support the knowledge economy, now considered a main pillar of other economies. "The Competition will be launched in Libya on April 8, 2017, and will select from all submitted projects through its website, the top 30 projects. Submission deadline will be followed by a round of pitching before a jury selects the best projects." The organizers explained.

Tatweer Research also indicated that once the final round,is finished, it will offer high-quality training to qualifying teams
in Libya and abroad provided by a group of experts and specialists in the field.

After the training phase, the winners will be hosted by an entrepreneurship development incubator to be established by end of this year, it added.

"The finalist teams will participate in a two-week intensive training program held in Lebanon attended by experts and entrepreneurs who will provide support and guidance to Libyan teams." Tatweer Research further explained.

It added that the teams will take part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) held in Beirut.

The final ceremony of the first edition of ENJAZI will be held in Beirut and attended by all qualifying teams, in addition to trainers and partners involved in all phases of the competition. The winning teams will be announced during the event on December 15, Tatweer Research concluded.
