The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, said the decision to replace the National Oil Corporation (NOC) board of directors was through negotiations and consensus of all parties not via a political deal or foreign intervention.

Dbeibah's statement came in the first meeting of the newly appointed board of directors of the NOC at its headquarters in Tripoli.

The Libyan PM said those who threaten to use violence and arms to regain their powerful positions will only be faced by force.

Dbeibah indicated that the entry of all major companies to the development of the oil sector should be facilitated, in addition, he said the countries that invest in the oil sector in Libya are the friendly countries.

On Friday, the new Chairman NOC, Farhat Bengdara, announced the end of the blockade of oil fields and ports and the resumption of oil production and exports after three months of suspension. Meanwhile, sources from oil ports at the Oil Crescent region confirmed that no tankers had docked for shipping despite announcement of the force majeure.
