The 46th Tripoli International Fair kick-started on Monday in the presence of Presidential Council's deputy head, Ahmed Mitig, and a group of Libyan ministers from the PC government, besides ambassadors to Libya as well as representatives of businesses and factories taking part in the fair.

The Chairman of the exhibitions commission Salah Hamza said businesses will be taking part in over 550 sections.

He added that local and international firms will be participating, plus some world companies' representatives, pointing out that there will be workshops and seminars as well as economic conferences and art galleries showcasing Libya's traditions.

"This fair is an opportunity to allow firms and businesspersons to put their products in display and exchange expertise with other firms." Minister of Economy, Nasser Fadelallah said.

He added this time they aim at encouraging the private sector so economic diversity can take effect in Libya, pointing out that the ministry will display 12 economic projects, in addition to measures that guarantee reshaping the ministry so the private sector can gain some access to help diversify trade and economy.

The 46th Tripoli International Fair will close its doors on April 12.
