The town of Sokna in Al-Jufra city is preparing to celebrate the coming of spring by throwing its fourth international touristic and traditional carnival.

"Pottery works, jewels, gems, traditional food, popular medicines, hand-made objects and many more will be presented at the carnival that will kick off on March 17 and end three days later.

The event will also include horse-riding shows, popular sports activities and motorbike racing as well as presentations of the nomadic tents and the equipment used by the nomads in the desert, in addition to how to make bread and other traditional things.

"25 organizations from all across Libya will attend the carnival." Said the Head of the media committee of the carnival, Musbah Emtir, who also said that the UN-proposed government's Culture Minister as well as the Social Affairs Minister and other Parliament members from Tobruk could be present at the carnival.
