The "Cultural Pouch" campaign, launched by Libya Amazons at the end of August, continues in collecting and transferring books from the Planetarium warehouse to the culture store as part of a weekly organized event.

The Chairman of the Campaign, Khadija Besekri, said that the campaign aims to promote culture and open all closed doors in front of it.

Bisekri added that this campaign applies to the 4 to17 year's old category, divided into three age groups, both classified according to their interests, type of books and the extent of the child's absorption.

"We submitted our perception to the General Authority for Media and Culture who welcomed the idea, but we faced a problem in collecting and transferring the books and got help from volunteers to do so.

Bsekri clarified that the books they received were all valuable and varied between research books, specialized books, and books for children with luxury printing, but they appear to have been neglected.

The books, she said, were arranged and organized according to their specialties, explaining that the transfer was done with own efforts; using two cars only, but the wonderful thing as she described is the joy of children who took part in this project as if they had received a trophy. She concluded her statement by wishing upon the University of Benghazi, the media, and the competent authorities to be more attentive because it was a wasted wealth, and it was distressing not to receive any attention.
