The Internal Security Agency of the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA) on Monday arrested suspects, believed to be involved in a bombing incident at the Naval Academy in Janzour last January.

The Agency published a photograph of two suspects, alleging that they were the perpetrators who carried out the bombing, noting that those responsible were in the early stages of forming a terrorist organization.

On January 19, the Naval Academy of Janzour, west Tripoli, was exposed to a bombing incident, which killed its commander, Brigadier General Ahmed Ayoub and the commander of the Naval College, Brigadier General Salem Abu Salah.

The incident also wounded security personnel and innocent citizens and it was initially believed that the episode was an accidental fire; however, in-depth investigations provided evidence that it was an orchestrated attack on the Naval Academy.
