The Public Prosecution ordered to arrest an Egyptian citizen, Hisham Shehata, who resides in Benghazi, accused of impersonating a surgical doctor.

Shehata caused the death of the citizen, Zahia Abdel-Qader, after committing a medical error for not complying with the rules and principles governing the medical profession, including his failure to obtain the qualification required to practice surgical operations, according to the media office of the Attorney General.

It also stated that the accused had previously been sentenced by the Egyptian judiciary, for having committed the crime of trafficking in human organs.

The Public Prosecutor, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, instructed to follow up on the procedures for determining medical responsibility in relation to the case of the victim, Zahia Abdel-Qader.

He also ordered to collect inferences related to the search and investigation of the facts of non-compliance with the rules of importing medical and auxiliary medical personnel from abroad, requesting the Egyptian authorities criminal records in accordance with the mechanism established in the agreement on cooperation in criminal matters concluded between Libya and Egypt.
