Benghazi Police Department said it had arrested a group of foreign workers who were holding false ID national numbers and other Libyan identity documents.

The security service stormed a rented house in the area of Leithi and arrested the foreign workers residing in the house, according to the Rescue Department on Facebook.

"The detainees were of Egyptian and Palestinian nationalities and were travelling inside the city of Benghazi with false driving licenses and forged documents used to possess motorized vehicles," the department added.

It further explained that preliminary investigations showed that the detainees are engaged in trading operations of suspected stolen items, pointing out that the defendants were referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the legal proceedings against them.
