Shaab horse stable for breeding purebred horses in Ain Zara region was subjected to looting on Wednesday, where nearly 60 horses were stolen, in addition to medical equipment, tools, and furniture.

Manager of the stable, Emad Al-Shaab, explained on Facebook that an armed group who claimed to be of an armed force from Tarhouna had stormed the stable and stole 59 horses.

The stable's management appealed to the people of Tarhouna to intervene and disavow such "disgraceful act", and urging the safety and return of the horses.

It noted that this project is a national heritage that everyone can benefit from, and contributes to the development and breeding of horses in Libya.
