HoR Energy Committee warns against replacement of NOC management

The Energy Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) has cautioned against any step that could obstruct the work of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and called for keeping the company away from the ongoing political strife and conflicts.

The committee issued a statement following Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah's agreement to discuss the proposal of the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, regarding changing the board of directors of the corporation.

The International Olive Council (IOC) has included the Libyan White Tripolitaine Olive in the international register and the global encyclopedia of olive varieties for the IOC.

As a result of the molecular characterization of the olive varietal samples performed at the Olive Varietal Identification Service of Cordoba University, we can report that DNA extracted from Libyan Olive collected leaves received not matching any variety in the world olive germplasm bank, the university said, according to the Libyan embassy in Spain.

Libya took over the presidency of the OPEC Fund for International Development, succeeding the State of Kuwait, which held the outgoing presidency, the GNU Ministry of Finance has revealed.

Finance Minister, Khaled Al-Mabrouk chaired the meeting of the 43rd session of the Ministerial Council of OPEC Fund for International Development, which was held at the fund's headquarters in the Austrian capital Vienna from 21 to 22 June.
