The German ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, said the best solution to end the political crisis in Libya is dialogue and political agreement that lead to elections and boost stability.

Ohnmacht met with the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najlaa Al-Mangoush, on Thursday in Tripoli and discussed supporting bilateral relations as well as activating joint economic agreements.

Japanese firms ready to resume activities in Libya

The Chargé d'Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Libya, Masaki Amadera, presented  Wednesday an official invitation to Presidential Council member Abdullah Al-Lafi for Libya's participation in the Japan-Africa Economic Forum, to be held in Tunisia next August.

A statement by the Information Office of the Presidential Council said the Japanese official expressed the Japanese companies' desire to resume their businesses in Libya.

Financial problems should not be used as a 'scapegoat' for NOC's failure, Ministry of Oil says

The Ministry of Oil and Gas is telling the National Oil Corporation (NOC) to stop hanging their problems on the state's tight budget, days after the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, a subsidiary of the state-owned NOC, announced a leak in a pipeline transporting crude from the Sarir field to the Hariga oil port in Tobruk.

The company said the leakage is costing the state 220,000 barrels of oil per day, as it attributed the problem to the failure to maintain oil transmission lines due to the delay in budgets.

Libya beats Botswana 1-0 in AFCON 2023 qualifiers

Libyan national football team beat Botswana 1-0 on Wednesday as part of the first round of “Group 10” qualifiers for AFCON 2023 that will be held in Ivory Coast.

The Libyan national team started the match on the attack to try to take advantage of the public support it enjoyed at home for the first time in several years.
