Workshop on Child Protection Case Management concluded in Tripoli

A five-day national workshop on Child Protection Case Management, which brought together important stakeholders from the Ministry of Social Affairs, European Union, and UNICEF came to a close on Thursday.

The final session was presided over by Minister of Social Affairs Wafaa al-Kilani, Head of Operations of the EU Delegation to Libya, Sandra Goffin, and UNICEF Libya Special Representative a.i. Lana Wreikat.

The UN Special Adviser on Libya Stephani Williams held an online meeting on Monday with a group of political representatives to talk about the political stalemate in the country.

The politicians joining the meeting briefed the UN Rep. on their proposals to unlock the political impasse, raise the voices of the silent majority and rejuvenate the political process in Libya, according to a tweet by Williams.

Malta opens up tourism visas for Libyans

The Consulate of Malta began accepting tourism visa applications from March 27, 2022, the Maltese Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, has confirmed.

The Libya Observer has learned from the ambassador that the fees shall be governed by EU regulations, explaining that tourist visas will cost € 80 for those over 12 years and € 40 for children between 6 and 12.

He also noted that visa external service providers would also charge a service fee of not more than 40 euros, with the fees payable in Dinars equivalent.
