Libya’s Al-Ittihad football club won 3-2 against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in the second round of group stage of CAF Confederation Cup at Benina Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi.
Al-Ittihad’s match is the first at this competition this season after first round match against Royal Leopard club from Eswatini was moved to March.

A woman and a teenager died of food poisoning and 44 other people were lodged in hospital after eating at the same social event in Souq Al-Jumua in Tripoli, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
The spokeswoman for the ministry, Wedad Abu Al-Niran, confirmed that 44 people received medical care after the food poisoning, saying that the woman who didd was 44 years old and the teenager was a boy with a down syndrome.

Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Salem Gunidi said Sunday that the HoR is waiting for the Parliament-designated prime minister Fathi Bashagha to brief them on his proposed cabinet before the summoning of Parliament to give confidence to the new government.
In a statement to The Libya Observer, Gunidi seemed sure that the House would back a vote of confidence for the new government led by Bashagha.
