Lavrov: Russia maintains relations with all political forces in Libya

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Monday that his country maintains relations with all the leading political forces in Libya.

Lavrov gave a speech before the 11th Middle East conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club, which was read out by his deputy Mikhail Bogdanov.

"We maintain sustainable and balanced ties with all leading political forces in the west, east, and south of Libya."

The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqila Saleh asked the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) to spend budget funds only on salaries and subsidies, adding in a letter via Presidency Affairs Director Awad Al-Firuri, that there are some budget items shouldn't be disapproved for spending.

Libyan government to start accepting housing loan applications online next Sunday

The Minister of Local Governing, Badr Al-Deen Al-Toumi, said applications for housing loans will start on Sunday online, adding in a press conference that land plots will be distributed in all regions: 3500 plots in south Libya, 3500 in the west and central regions and 1500 in the east as a first phase.

Al-Toumi said there will be 16.000 plots of land that will be ready in a month, in addition to 8625 ready ones, thanks to the efforts of the building company.

An inspired win against Tunisian Sfaxien boosted Al-Ahly's hopes for qualifying for the Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Al-Ahly beat Sfaxien 2-1 at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in the second round of the first group matches on Sunday.

A shot by defender Hedi Hammami of Sfaxien ended up in his team's net, giving Al-Ahly their first goal within the first five minutes before Saleh Al-Taher added the second goal in minute 52.
