The committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) that is tasked with monitoring the election process said relying on a specific date for holding elections is similar to repeating the failure of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) based on an unstudied decision by the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum under the auspices of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
A report by the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), sent to the Parliamentary Commission for monitoring HNEC work, said the results of the appeals stage cannot be used to publish a final list of presidential candidates because the list could contain names that are legally-contested.
The founder of Russian Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, told Sputnik news agency that the main enemy of Libya today is the international community that is trying to take money from the country, adding that neither Russia nor Turkey had created problems for Libya.
Prigozhin added that western states don't help Libya for free and this is clear in the fact that top European officials and international organizations are plundering billions of dollars in oil and put them in their pockets.
Deterrence Anti-terrorism and Anti-organized-crime Apparatus has denied association with Brigade 444 of the Tripoli Military Zone, saying it's working autonomously and isn't connected to the recent "skirmishes", referring to the security unrest that took place in Tripoli between Brigade 444 and other capital-based armed factions.
The apparatus said in a statement that those who claim affiliation to the apparatus represent themselves. It added that only the commander and those whom he appoints represent the apparatus.
