The UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, called Monday for speeding the approval of the constitutional basis for Libya's general elections in December.
The spokesman for the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) Abdullah Blehiq has confirmed that the postponement of questioning of the Government of National Unity and proceeding of the session to discuss parliamentary elections' legislations ahead of the scheduled deadline of December 24.
Blehiq said the postponement was decided after an official request by the Government of National Unity, which asked for details of the questioning so the ministers can prepare their responses professionally.
The Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, suspended the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, from work pending an investigation of the violations attributed to him, and assigned Jadallah Al-Awkali the duties of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NOC.
The Prime Minister of the Government National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, discussed on Sunday the file of Libya’s existing debts in the Jordanian hospitals, which have not been addressed and paid for several years.
This came during his meeting in the capital, Amman, with Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh.
