Libya's Al-Ittihad football club won 4-1 Saturday at the first-leg match of the first preliminary stage of the CAF Confederation Cup at Al-Salam Stadium in Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Horseed scored first and then Libya's Al-Ittihad tied the score by Ali Madi's equalizer before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Al-Ittihad players Rabea Shadi, Omran Salim and Ali Madi scored three more goals, with Madi scoring two out of the four for the Libyan side.

Libyan HoR members agree in Morocco to hold full-quorum meeting in Ghadames

The members of the Libyan House of Representatives (Tripoli and Tobruk seats) agreed in their final statement following their consultative meetings in Tangier, Morocco, to hold a session with full quorum in Ghadames inside Libya.

The statement says the constitutional headquarters of the convention of the HoR meetings is Benghazi, agreeing to hold a session in Ghadames to end the division of the Libyan Parliament.

Woman killed, girl injured in attack by Haftar's forces in Libya's Ubari

A woman was killed and a girl was injured in Ubari, southern Libya, in an attack led by pro-Haftar Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade on one of the city's neighborhoods using armored vehicles to capture "wanted men".

Libya Alahrar TV reported its sources in Ubari as saying that Haftar's forces killed a woman and injured a girl as they scoured the neighborhood for "wanted men", damaging some houses along the way.

Pompeo: Washington to continue to sanction human rights violators in Libya

The Secretary of State of the United States Mike Pompeo said Saturday that Washington will continue to take tangible measures to respond to massive human rights violations in Libya.

Pompeo's remarks came on Twitter after the announcement of the sanctions by the US Treasury against pro-Haftar Al-Kaniyat militia and its leader Mohammed Al-Kani.
