GNA funds solar project in Tajoura

The Government of National Accord (GNA) will finance a project to build a solar power plant with a capacity of 62 kWp in the eastern suburb of Tripoli, Tajoura.

The project will be implemented in the Centre for Solar Energy and Research (CSERS) in Tajoura, by the Alhandasya company from the private sector, specialized in the field of engineering services and renewable energy.

The new project will enhance the public's grid capacity to cover, as a first step, the energy needs of the population of Tajoura.

Libya bids farewell to Palestinian doctor who died suffering from Covid-19

The Libyan Health Ministry of the Government of National Accord said the Palestinian doctor Rafat Abdelaziz, whom it described as a pillar of the Tripoli Central Hospital, died after contracting coronavirus by treating a Covid-19 patient with serious conditions.

The Libyan Doctors Syndicate also expressed condolences to the family of the doctor whom it said was Palestinian on paper by Libyan in identification.

Sirte-Jufra Operations Room: Current dialogue is a maneuver to prolong transitional phase

The Sirte-Jufra Operations Room of the Government of National Accord said it rejects the talks held by Libyan parties abroad if there is no one representing it in these talks.

The room said in a televised statement that these talks and meetings aim to split power among the participants, adding that instead of such meetings, they should go to referendum on the constitution and then hold general elections so that the transitional government can be dismissed after all the corruption and squandering of public funds it did.

High Council of State confirms delay of Libyan dialogue in Bouznika indefinitely

The spokesman for the Libyan High Council of State (HCS) Mohammed Abdelnasser said the Libyan Dialogue's second round was postponed indefinitely.

The spokesman told Libya Alahrar TV on Wednesday that the second round slated for Thursday was postponed and added that the Head of the HCS, Khalid Al-Mishri needed to see some common ground with the other party regarding many issues before going to Morocco.

Libya's Mufti: All segments of Libyan society must have a voice in the present dialogue

The Grand Mufti of Libya, Sheikh Al-Sadiq Al-Ghariani, has called for holding an expanded conference that would bring together fighters, scholars, and experts, to choose who would represent them in all upcoming dialogues.

Sheikh Al-Sadiq stressed, through his weekly program Islam and Life, on Wednesday, the need for all segments of society to have a voice in the existing dialogues, saying that the fate of the Libyan people, should not be reduced to the UN mission's options.
