A shipment of frozen meat imported from Brazil has been rejected by the Food and Drug Control Center at Khoms Port.
The center stated on Facebook on Monday that around 1812 cartons of Brazilian-imported meat have been rejected for developing foul odors and liquids that make it at relatively high risk for growing bacteria.
The center confirmed that the shipment would be cleared by a committee formed for destroying spoiled goods.
The Turkish Defense Ministry said Tuesday it had started coast guard training for Libyan military personnel as part of the MoU between Ankara and Tripoli.

Benghazi in eastern Libya saw security unrest and assaults on shops after investigation militia leader Ashraf Al-Faydi had kidnapped the wife of a resident, raped her and forcefully divorced her from her husband.
Residents from Awaqir tribe attacked shops in Benghazi owned by Al-Faydi after one of the tribesmen (Jaber Al-Fessi) said in video circulated on social media that his wife was kidnapped, raped and divorced from him by force.
The EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, has expressed satisfaction at the resumption of the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations.
