Libyan delegations in Bouznika welcome Morocco’s crisis resolution efforts

The Libyan High Council of State (HCS) and the Tobruk-based parliament praised Sunday Morocco's efforts to find a resolution to the Libyan crisis.

This came in a joint statement following the first round of discussions between the two parties attending the two-day dialogue taking place in the coastal  Moroccan town of Bouznika, south of the capital, Rabat.

The General Libyan Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (GLUCC) is gearing up for the first Libyan-Turkish Economic Forum scheduled to take place between 15th-16th October this year, in Istanbul.

The forum will be held in cooperation with the International Company for Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences and (ICF Fairs & Org), according to GLUCC statement on Facebook.

Libya's Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) and Turkey have signed an economy, technology cooperation protocol.

Turkish Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and Libyan Central Bank Governor Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir and the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) Chairman Ali Mahmoud signed in a meeting in Istanbul the protocol as Varank said that both countries face many threats in economic, political and military fields.

Al-Sirraj and Erdogan discuss boosting security cooperation in Istanbul

The Libyan Presidential Council's Head Fayez Al-Sirraj and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed economic and security cooperation between Libya and Turkey, including the return of Turkish companies to resume suspended projects in Libya.

During the meeting Sunday in Istanbul, Erdogan underscored that Turkey and Libya will continue to be in solidarity, discussing developments in Libya, bilateral relations and regional issues.

Libya's Attorney General’s Office releases 13 men detained in Tripoli protests

The Head of Investigation Bureau of the Attorney General’s Office Al-Siddiq Al-Sour said 13 of the detained men during Tripoli protests, organized over the last period, had been released, while eight others involved in riots were kept in custody.

Al-Sour told reporters that some injured protesters were sent to forensics to determine what type of injuries they had suffered.

He said arrest warrants of the security personnel who were involved in shooting the protesters as one suspect was arrested and placed under investigation.

Haftar's forces fire 10 rockets on Libya Army positions in new ceasefire violation

The spokesman for the Libyan Sirte-Jufra Operations Room Abdelhadi Drah said Khalifa Haftar's forces fired Saturday ten Grad rockets on positions of the Libyan Army under the command of the Government of National Accord in a new violation of the ceasefire.

Drah said GNA forces had depicted over the last two days the entry of many armed vehicles of Haftar's forces into Sirte.

Libyan doctors returning from aid mission in Italy start an awareness program from Gharyan

The team of Libyan doctors who have returned from Italy after completing their mission in assisting the Italian authorities to contain the Coronavirus pandemic has launched an awareness program starting from the city of Gharyan, to implement the Italian experience in Libya.

The National Center for Disease Control said on Saturday, this comes as part of the national community awareness campaign launched by the center in several cities.
