UN Chief declares full support for the Libyan dialogue in Morocco

The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres reiterated on Tuesday, his full support for the Libyan dialogue hosted by Morocco "to reinforce and complement the ongoing peace efforts led by the Berlin Conference."

A statement released by Stephen Dujarric, spokesman for the UN Chief said the UN has faith that Morocco’s Bouznika "will have a positive impact on the United Nations facilitation of the Libyan owned and Libyan led political dialogue."

NOC halts operations in several sites as Libya suffers more Covid-19 cases

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has decided to temporarily halt operations at two of its units, in a precautionary measure to confront an outbreak of the Coronavirus in its sites.

The Zawiya Oil Refining Company said in a statement that work in the company's administrative sites will be suspended from 8  to 17 September this month, noting that employees will be granted emergency leave.

Al-Mishri: Talks in Morocco are a prelude to real dialogue

President of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri has reiterated that the current consultations going on with the Tobruk-based parliament are informal and aim to lay the ground for a dialogue very soon, with the efforts of Geneva.

"The discussions in Morocco are consultations and not a dialogue in the strict sense of the term," Al-Mishri stated in a press statement after his meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister, Arancha González Laya.

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Libyan conflict parties will meet in Moscow to find common ground for a solution, but he set no date for the meeting.

Lavrov, in a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Muallem Monday, said Russia backs up unconditional and immediate ceasefire in Libya, adding that the accusations against Russia that say it had used Syrian Hmeimim airbase to send arms and mercenaries to Libya are baseless.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Adel Jumaa is studying the possibility of reducing the "example questions" published by the Education Ministry, as guidance to help students preparing for the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams to review their lessons.

This came during his meeting on Sunday, with the heads of the technical committees in charge of the school return program.

A training course for qualifying young job seekers set by the Sustainable Development Department of the National Oil Corporation has concluded on Saturday.

The training course which lasted a month targeted about 50 young men from the Oil Crescent regions of Brega, Es Sidra Gulf, Zueitina, and Marada.

Those who took part had the opportunity to learn and practice in the field of the electronic diagnosis of car breakdowns and mobile phone programming and maintenance.
