Shortage of fuel and cooking gas makes the bad situation worse in Sirte

Local sources from the city of Sirte have said that fuel and cooking gas is running short as many filling stations shutdown due to lack of stock.

Identical sources from Sirte have reported that the main fuel stations in the city have shut down, while motorists rushed to join queues outside those that were still open.

Gas cylinder stores had also received no supplies for more than a week, according to the same sources.

Virginia District Court approves lawsuit against Libyan warlord Haftar

The Head of the Libyan-American Alliance Essam Ameish said the US District Court in Virginia had approved the lawsuit against Khalifa Haftar.

Ameish told Libya Alahrar TV that Haftar was notified of the lawsuit via newspapers, adding this approval by the judge was very crucial since in the past, the court wanted Haftar to receive the notification in person to approve the case.

The Turkish President Recept Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that Ankara won’t sit for dialogue with Khalifa Haftar because he is "a mercenary who has not legal or legitimate status".

Erdogan said, according to Anadolu Agency, that Ankara will continue to hold meetings with the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj as the only legitimate party in Libya, expressing disappointment that western countries had invited Haftar to the same place they invited Al-Sarraj.

Fezzan Desert Rally kicked-off Thursday

The eighth edition of the Fezzan Desert Rally kicked off on Thursday with the sponsorship of the Cultural Office of Sabha, south Libya.

Around 17 participants will compete in three stages along a 230 km track on Golden sand.

The contestants will have the opportunity in this five-day rally to test their racing skills in the challenging Libyan desert landscape.

Woman released from ICU after ten years, doctors say she's doing well

Misrata Medical Centre has celebrated the recovery of a woman who was hospitalized for nearly ten years in the Intensive Care Unit.

The hospital did not confirm her full recovery or release from the hospital but explained that she is responding very well to the treatment.

The center published a picture showing the woman, identified to be Mrs. Hawa, surrounded by doctors, medical staff and workers at the hospital, who provided treatment and care for the lady all these years.
