Indiscriminate shelling by Haftar's forces in south Tripoli causes several civilian casualties

A civilian was killed and others were injured in indiscriminate shelling by Khalifa Haftar's forces on Al-Kraimiya in south Tripoli, Volcano of Rage Operation's media office said on Saturday afternoon, posting photos for the aftermath of the shelling that caused damage to houses and cars of the civilian residents.

One civilian, Mohammed Shiha, was transferred to Al-Sawani field hospital for first aid medical care before sending him to the hospital, the Field and Support Medical Center said.

UNHCR says to sustain operations in Libya despite high risk

UNHCR has said its operations in Libya are still ongoing and its assistance to refugees remains the same despite suspending work at the Gathering and Departure Facility (GDF) in Tripoli, "fearing for the safety and protection of people at the facility, its staff and partners amid worsening conflict in Tripoli, Libya".

"We stay in Libya and we remain engaged. We remain committed to supporting refugees, asylum seekers, displaced in Libya." UNHCR Libya’s head of mission, Jean-Paul Cavalieri said on Facebook.

UK sends Security Council draft resolution calling for withdrawing mercenaries from Libya

The United Kingdom (UK) sent on Friday the UN Security Council member states an amended draft resolution on Libya, calling for the withdrawal of mercenaries from the country, according to a report by AFP.

The amended draft resolution expressed the Security Council's concern over the growing involvement of mercenaries in Libya, despite commitments made on January 19 at the international summit in Berlin.

French sources: UAE sent 3,000 tons of military support to Haftar

French Intelligence website has revealed that Haftar received around 3,000 tons of military equipment from the UAE in the past two weeks.

The French website explained that the supply and transportation operations were carried out by the "Antonov 124" plane owned by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed under the name of Makassimos Air Cargo Company.
