Congress of Libya's Tebu condemns Haftar forces' airstrikes on Um Al-Aranib

The Congress of Libya's Tebu tribespeople has condemned in a statement the airstrikes of Khalifa Haftar's forces on Um Al-Aranib on Thursday, killing a whole family - mother and her six children. 

The statement also denounced criminal actions committed by Haftar's forces against Tebu tribespeople with the help of foreign drones as the international community sits idly by. 

The Congress of Tebu called on the international community to take up its responsibility toward the violations done by Haftar's forces and to bring the perpetrators to justice. 

UN envoy: US-Russia tensions complicate Libya's conflict

The UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame has attributed the intensity of fighting in Libya to the new confrontation between Washington and Moscow as well as the flow of weapons to the country. 

Salame told Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Saturday that the first complexity in the Libyan conflict is attributed to US-Russia tensions as reports point to Russian security firms being on the ground in Libya. 

Libya's Interior Ministry apprehends ISIS-Ansar Al-Sharia coordinator

The Libyan Interior Ministry said its Tajoura central backup personnel had arrested "the coordinator of operations between ISIS and Ansar Al-Sharia", Emad Al-Shagaabi.

The ministry said in a statement that after thorough and delicate search operations, Tajoura central backup personnel arrested Al-Shagaabi on Friday evening, saying he was placed under investigation before being sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office for further legal procedures. 

Libya's NOC resumes production at El Feel oilfield

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) confirmed that following the cessation of military activity at El Feel oilfield, production was resumed on Thursday.

"No NOC employees were harmed. Facilities sustained some minor damage but workers were able to resume production once conditions were deemed safe." The NOC said in a statement.
