The Head of the Presidential Council (PC) Fayez Al-Sirraj said the solution for the Libyan crisis is holding elections based on constitution, thus ending the conflict among parties and giving Libyans the choice of voting.
The remarks came in Al-Sirraj's speech at the EU-League of Arab States summit in Sharm El Sheikh on Monday.
The Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, has arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) upon an invitation by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayid to discuss the current crisis and to strike accord in viewpoints between him and Khalifa Haftar, identical sources have reported.
Several news outlets reported that there could be a meeting for Khalifa Haftar and Al-Sirraj in Abu Dhabi, yet the sources denied that the former went to Abu Dhabi.
The Chairman of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanallah has rejected reopening the biggest Libyan oilfield "Sharara" saying the armed group that forced workers out is still in control of the field.
Sanallah added in a video posted on Sunday that the NOC is not going to lift force majeure on Sharara oilfield as the reasons for it are still standing.
