Libya's HoR: Voting on constitution referendum law postponed for two weeks

The House of Representatives (HoR) adjourned on Tuesday the voting session on the draft law of the constitution referendum to two weeks later.

Tuesday's session was all about breaking down article 8 of the draft law, with the majority of the members favoring its removal saying "keeping it needs a constitutional amendment."

A security bureau under the command of the Presidential Council's Interior Ministry freed Tuesday four Libyan journalists after detaining them for ten hours since last night, reported Libyan Center for Freedom of Press (LCFP).

LCFP reminded on Twitter the Interior Minister Abdelsalam Ashour of the need to take precautions to protect journalists and to establish a friendly environment for dialogue between journalists and security personnel for the best interest of Libya.

Head of Libyan bakers blames lack of documentary credits for bread crisis

Head of the Libyan Bakers’ Syndicate Khreis Mohammed said that the increase in the price of bread in the past few days is due to the government failure to issue documentary credits for the supply of bread-making flour.

In a press statement, Khreis said that he expects the Presidential Council to sign the documentary credits soon, pointing out that if the credits are opened, wheat flour will be available in a week to a month.

Director-General of Tripoli University Hospital: Hospital owes 80 million dinars worth of debts since 2013

The Director-General of Tripoli University Hospital -Tripoli Medical Center formerly - Nabil Al-Ajili, revealed Monday that the hospital debt owed to pharmaceutical and medical companies from 2013 to date amounted to more than 80 million dinars.

Minister of Education announces date of primary and GCSE results

Minister of Education Othman Abdul Jalil, has announced date of the first round examination's result for the preparatory and secondary certificate for the current academic year.

Abdul Jalil clarified that the adoption and announcement of the results of the first round for the preparatory certificate will be next Monday, August 6th, while the secondary school results will be released on Thursday, the 9th of the same month, according to the Ministry of Education's Facebook.
