A military delegation of Khalifa Haftar-led Dignity Operation visited Hun and Sokna towns to contain the tension after the killing of a young man from Jufra by Dignity Operation fighters.

The delegation included the Dignity Operation Public Prosecutor and its military police commander.

Ugandans line up for medical jobs in Libya’s Benghazi

A Ugandan recruitment firm has been approached by a hospital in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi to hire up to 1200 medical workers.

Middle East Consultants Limited (MEC) says it has received more 1500 applications in response to a job advert on a local TV station. According to the advert, the salary ranges from 3.5 - 7 Millions UGX per month.

UN appoints Lebanese Ghassan Salame as new envoy to Libya

The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, has appointed a new envoy to Libya to replace Martin Kobler, according to media sources.

The sources said Guterres appointed Ghassan Salame - the former Lebanese Minister of Culture from 2000 to 2003 - to be the new Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL.)

Salame, as it were, will be the sixth envoy to be sent to Libya since after the revolution of 2011.
