Spokesperson of Dignity Operation Ahmed Al-Mismari declared on Wednesday the installation of two military chiefs for the central and western regions by the Presidential Council as illegal.

Speaking in his weekly press conference, Al-Mismari also said the promotion of two military chiefs to Major Generals is illegal.

Once again, the Libyan Al-Ahli Tripoli thrashed Zimbabwean CAPS United F.C 4-2 in the second leg match in Sfax, Tunisia as part of the fourth round of group 2 at CAF Champions League.

Al-Ahli Tripoli won 4-2 agaisnt Zimbabwean CAPS United F.C in the first leg match.

Al-Ahli scored first the minute 16 by Saleh Al-Taher and Caps United tied the score at the minute 19 then advanced with a second goal at the minute 42 to end the first half 2-1 for the Zimbabwean team.

Protesters attack Zintan Municipality demanding cash

Dozens of angry protesters stormed Zintan Municipality building on Tuesday, demanding improved living conditions ahead of Eid celebrations next week.

The protesters held their municipal council responsible for the deterioration of living conditions, including the severe cash shortage that is plaguing not only Zintan, but the entire country.

Eyewitnesses said the protesters assaulted the municipal staff and caused damage to the equipment and furniture of the offices.

Armed group attacks fuel trucks south of Sirte

An armed group attacked fuel trucks belonging to the Arab Association for Oil Transport in Bay valley, southwest of Sirte, while on their way to the oil depots in Sabha, the Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee (FAGCC) said on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

According to the source, two trucks loaded with 100,000 litres of fuel were stopped and seized.  One of the drivers managed to escape, while the other one's fate is still unknown.

Protesters in Benghazi say no to sending Saiqa Brigade to Jufra

Tens of protesters took to the streets in Benghazi in a sit-in in front of Saiqa Brigade (Haftar-led Special Forces) building in Bu Atni area expressing dismay and rejection for the departure of the brigade from the city.

Khalifa Haftar tasked Saiqa Brigade with going to Jufra with all its military might after it has been pulled out from fighting in eastern Benghazi.

The new task aims at containing the tension in Jufra after several violations by Haftar's forces in there.
