Libyan businesspersons urge for severing economic ties with Tunisia

The Chairman of the Commerce and Industry Chamber in Tobruk, Ibrahim Al-Jarari, has urged the Libyan Commerce Chamber and the Libyan Businesspersons Council to hold an emergency meeting over the seizing of Libyan ships by Tunisian Customs Department.

"Tunisian Customs Department's piracy against Libyan containers in Radis and Sfax must be discussed." Al-Jarari indicated.

Clashes break ceasefire in southern Libya, PC forms investigation committee

The Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government has decided to form a committee headed by the Minister of Local Governing, Baddad Gansu, to be tasked to communicate with the conflicting parties in the Libyan southern region to reach an agreement by which the ceasefire can commence.

In an emergency statement issued on Sunday, the PC said this new decision aims to solidify the efforts of the PC in trying to strike a truce and avoid bloodshed in the south.

HoR denounces Al-Sirraj's call for international intervention in southern Libya

The House of Representatives in Tobruk denounced the call of the Presidential Council on the international community to intervene and resolve the "military escalation in southern Libya.

In a statement, the HoR considered that such a call is in favor of what it described the armed militias and the smuggling gangs and the groups that destroyed the country.

Libyan National Guard joins war on Haftar's forces in south Libya

The commander of the Libyan National Guard (LNG) of the National Salvation Government, Mahmoud Al-Zaqel, called on the forces positioned in southern Libya to fight whom he described "the idiot war criminal Khalifa Haftar." as he is carrying out an agenda that is meant to destroy Libya and then appoint himself as a military ruler in the country.

Speaking on the phone on TV, Al-Zaqel said the LNG forces have now joined the forces who are fighting against Haftar's forces in the south.

Libyan Soccer League could be delayed till next August, Al-Jaafari says

The President of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) Jamal Al-Jafari has said that this year's season of the Libyan Soccer League will be put off due to legal challenges lodged against the LFF Presidency by some football clubs.

In a press release after the third meeting of the LFF in Al-Marij city on Thursday, Al-Jafari said the next meeting will decide on the final date of the kickoff of the Libyan Soccer League for this season, which could be postponed till next August if the clubs did not reach consensus regarding the financial support.

Al-Sirraj: International community must put the kibosh on military escalation in south Libya
