Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR) has selected a 24-member team to engage in the forthcoming political talks aimed at resolving the country’s political stalemate.
The new team, picked by the presidency office of the parliament, is headed by Abdul-Salam Nasiya, an MP representing the western mountain town of Zintan.
According to the formation decree, the team should abide by “the national constants” stated in HoR resolution No. 4 for 2017.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) Al-Sidiq Al-Kabeer, has attributed the falling of the dinar's value against foreign currencies to the current political division, which also badly influenced the banking system as a whole.
In a press conference and a follow-up statement on the CBL's website Sunday, Al-Kabeer said the CBL will not stand idly by and allow the current war on the Libyan dinar to rage on, adding that the CBL will intervene with a group of powerful actions.

The accord committee at the Constitution Drafting Assembly (CDA) has devised a new draft for the Libyan long-awaited constitution and has given it the name "A proposal for a concord draft for Libya's constitution," with 195 articles.
The accord committee was formed of 12 members, six of whom were from the CDA members who signed the previous draft in Oman, three others are from the CDA members who boycotted Oman meetings and the remaining three are from the CDA members who did not sign the draft at all.
