Turkish Embassy to accept visa applications from Tripoli

Turkish visa for Libyan nationals will start processing from the capital Tripoli, the Consular Section of the Turkish Embassy announced on Thursday, after more than a year of processing the visa from its consulate in Misrata.

In a statement, the Embassy said it will start accepting visa applications from Thursday, April 13, a step that would alleviate early morning line-ups at Misrata consulate.

Turkey is the best destination for thousands of Libyan travellers for business, treatment and tourism.

Eastern government sacks spokesman for bad performance

Eastern government of Abdullah Al-Thanni denied that its spokesman Abdelhakim Matoug had been abducted, saying he was sacked for bad performance.

The government added that Matoug was referred to the Attorney General's Office for reluctance to cooperate with the handover of power committee, including refusing to hand over a car because he wants to sell it before leaving Libya.

A hundred migrants missing off Libyan coast

About 100 illegal migrants have been reported as missing off the Libyan coast near Tripoli on Thursday, reported Reuters citing the spokesman of the Libyan Navy forces, Auoyb Qassim.

"23 migrants were rescued from the boat off Gargarish, a western suburb of Tripoli." Qassim told Reuters on Thursday.

According to survivors, the dinghy had set off with about 120 illegal migrants onboard, nearly 97 are still missing, including 15 women and children, Qassim added.

Ala Shaeban has always dreamed of visiting Al-Ahli-Tripoli Sports Club and meet his favourite players. Now his dream has come true, thanks to the club managers and players who were happy to grant his wish and bring delight and joy to him and his family.

Ala was invited to the club on Monday, on the day of a friendly match between Al-Ahly and Al-Shat.

Former minister accuses eastern government of spreading rumors via fake Facebook page

Former Health Minister, Fatma Al-Hamroush, said she was displeased by the continuity of existence of a fake page using her own name on Facebook and spreading rumors and hate speech with several people believing the absurd content posted on it.

In a press statement with a photo of the fake page attached to it, Al-Hamroush, revealed the names of the ones who created the page saying she is sorry to know that they are part of the House of Representatives' eastern government of Abdullah Al-Thanni.

NOC lifts force majeure on Al-Wafaa oilfield

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has lifted the state of force majeure in Al-Wafaa oilfield after confirming that the oil and gas pipeline that connect the oilfield to Mellita complex has been reopened.

"This pipeline has been shut since March 26." The NOC remarked.

The NOC's Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah, has commented saying the social and media support for the NOC's demand of the immediate unconditional reopening of the pipeline has had an essential role in resolving the issue.
