Libyan and Arab bank and finance officials along with International counterparts met at a conference set up in London last month to discuss the Libyan financial crises and provide solutions in an attempt to avert a collapse in the economy.

There are many reasons for the state of the economy and its continuous spiraling downfall since 2014.

Russian experts are supporting Haftar’s forces via Egyptian-Emirati assistance

A number of Russian experts arrived in the eastern region to support Khalifa Haftar’s Dignity Operation forces, The New Arab reported Tuesday.

“The Russian support is conducted through UAE and Egyptian mediation assistance.” The newspaper added.

It also reported Libyan reliable sources as saying that the Russian experts had arrived in the areas where Haftar’s forces are in control.

Three more teams qualify for Libya Cup 2nd round

Al-Sweihli, Al-Madina, and Al-Naser have joined other teams qualifying for the second round of this season’s Libya Cup tournament.

Al-Madina beat Al-Qadisiya 3-0, while Al-Sweihli beat Asaraya 1-0 and Al-Naser won 4-2 against Wifaq Ajdabia.

On Tuesday, the final match of the first round will be between Al-Ahli Benghazi and Benghazi Al-Jadida at Benina stadium.

Aimless air attacks target Al-Fatayeh district in Derna as clashes draw out

Dignity Operation fighter aircraft haphazardly bombed Tuesday morning the residential area in Al-Fatayeh district, Derna. The bombing targeted houses and farms for the residents. 
“Haftar is bombing Al-Fatayeh to coerce residents to leave.” A source from Derna Shura Council indicated.

Tripoli: Workshop set up to find solutions to illegal immigration to Libya

The African Researches and Studies Center organized a workshop at the Radisson Blu hotel with the title “Illegal immigration and Libya”.

A research paper has revealed that the numbers of immigrants arriving in Libya is on a steady incline and that human trafficking has become a very profitable business making the subject a serious cause for concern as it also effects the social, security and economic institutions of the country.

U.S citizen arrested for trying to join ISIS in Libya

Aaron Travis Daniels, an Ohio man who was arrested on Monday for allegedly trying to join ISIS in Libya and suspicion of donating funds to the terrorist group, the U.S justice department said.

U.S authorities were investigating Daniels for months and arrested him at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport as he was boarding a plane to Libya “for the purpose of joining ISIS,” the Federal Bureau of Investigation said in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Columbus.

Audit Bureau freezes company’s assets to retrieve smuggled money

The Libyan Audit Bureau is going to retrieve smuggled money by one of the Libyan companies that smuggled about 9 million euros through freezing assets and bank accounts of the company.

“The freezing of the accounts won’t be lifted unless the smuggled money was deposited back into the Central Bank of Libya’s vault.” The Audit Bureau indicated Monday.

It also handed over the following up of the case to the CBL and kept the name of the company anonymous.

Girl lost family in IS-planted landmine blast now recovering in Germany

After breaking out from Sirte and fleeing the barbarity of IS diehards, Yaqeen Al-Hajaji – an eleven-year-old girl – was in the car with her family in yet another heart-stopping drive back to one of Sire suburbs, Skair, as they decided to offer condolences for one of their relatives, who was killed by an IS-planted landmine, in there.

Though she and her entire family made out of Sirte safe and sound, the kinship bond made them drive back to the city’s suburbs to attend their relative’s funeral.

Barghati: What is happening in Benghazi is much worse than terror

No military institution was established in Benghazi and new form of terrorism has been formed in the city, the designated Minister of Defense of the UN-proposed government Mahdi Al-Barghati revealed on Monday.

Once Khalifa Haftar's strong ally, Al-Barghati said in a press conference in Tripoli that the current situations in the war-torn city are worse than terrorism, after yet another of his military group the 204 Tank Division was murdered in cold blood.
