Misrata-led forces have freed three women and a number of children, who were trapped in the clashes area with ISIS militants in their last hideout, the seaside Jiza neighborhood in Sirte, the media office of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos reported Thursday.

The media office also reported that throughout combing through the freed nooks from the grip of the ISIS terror group in the seaside Jiza neighborhood, the Misrata-led forces evacuated about 20 houses along the way.

The Al-Bayda Council of Elders and Notables urged Wednesday the military governor of the east, Abdelraziq Al-Nathori, to appoint a military governor for their city just like the neighboring cities and municipalities.

In a statement they read in front of the Constitution Drafting Assembly’s HQ in Al-Bayda, the council members stressed that the municipal council must be disbanded as it has taken some illegal measures and decisions and has been involved in political issues outside the scope of the municipalities’ authorities.

Benghazi Public Prosecution said Wednesday that they busted the three persons who murdered a Pakistani national in Gamninis province in western Benghazi last week.

A Tunisian fisherman was wounded on Tuesday when Libyan Coast Guard fired warning shots at illegal fishing vessels in the territorial waters, Libyan Navy has reported.

Spokesman of the Libyan Navy , Brigadier-General Ayoub Qasim, said Coast Guard patrol boats spotted four Tunisian trawlers at dawn, one of them was broken down, off Libya's western coast and ordered them to stop.

Two armored vehicles of the Al-Zawiya Commercial Bank were hijacked Monday evening with one million and 500 thousand dinars inside.

The spokesperson for Al-Zawiya security department, Nabil Buzawari, said the two cars were robbed while driving to the bank.

He added that the city is experiencing security breaches nowadays, the latest of which was an explosion on Monday, when a cafe and a bakery were targeted with explosives at a former foreign security building, causing only material damage.

The Tunisian authorities said Monday that they had seized three big arms caches over the last weekend on the Tunisian border city with Libya, Ben Guerdane.

The Tunisian Interior Ministry said the arms caches contained large quantities of Kalashnikov rifles, rockets and landmines.

Tunisia has been so fearful that IS militants, who are originally from Tunisia and are now clashing in Sirte with the Misrata-led forces, would make a clandestine return to their country and thus make it vulnerable to terror and turmoil.

14 people wounded in car explosion eastern Benghazi

A car bomb went off near the vegetables public market in Bu Dazira area in eastern Benghazi, eyewitnesses said.

Media sources also confirmed that many people were injured in the blast and were sent to Al-Jalaa Hospital in Benghazi.

“14 persons were admitted to Al-Jalaa Hospital.” The head of the media office at the hospital, Fadia Al-Barghathi said.
