Al-Ghasri: Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos will enter its penultimate stage in two days

The spokesman of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, Mohammed Al-Ghasri said the two coming days will see the forces entering the stage before the last, in a series of 12-stage operation, in the battle against IS militants in Sirte.

Briefing Al-Nabaa TV, Al-Ghasri said their forces are still fighting IS militants until today, stressing that the terrorists have two choices: turn themselves in or die inside the city when the Misrata-led forces enter and uproot them.

The Egyptian nationals were not abducted as the Egyptian media is saying nowadays, those 8 Egyptian nationals are arrested by the Libyan security authorities in Misrata city, reported sources from Misrata.

The sources added that the Egyptians were busted in one of the security checkpoints in eastern Misrata as they were trying to leave Sirte city, which was under the control of IS militants.

Media activists reported sources from Sirte as saying that an IS leader, Abdelhadi Zargoon, was killed in an airstrike that targeted his house in Sirte Wednesday night.

The sources added that Zargoon is a Libyan national who was using his house as a broadcasting studio for the IS radio station, indicating that four other foreign IS militants were killed in the same airstrike.

Libya’s powerlifters have bagged two gold medals, two bronze, and a silver one in the opening competitions of the World Powerlifting Championship, which kicked off last Monday in Klein, Texas, US and will last until June 26.

The Libyan powerlifters Omar Shabik and Mohammed Al-Eskandarani won gold medals, Faraj Al-Berasi won a silver medal and a bronze one, while Al-Eskandarani bagged another medal for Libya to make them two bronze ones.

Haftar’s militias threaten to bomb Derna amenities

Senior leaders of Khalifa Haftar’s militias, who are besieging Derna residents inside the city, warned of approaching Pearl Hotel and other civilian and service facilities in the city.

“The Derna Shura Council is using the hotel as a military operations room and an arms depot, therefore; we will bomb it” said Ali Abusitta, one of Haftar’s militia leaders.

The spokesman of the so-called Oil Facilities Guard has strongly condemned what it described the criminal act carried out by Khalifa Haftar’s warplanes when they bombed a training camp for the guard forces in Sham district that lies to the west of Ajdabia on the road to Brega city, vowing that its retaliation will be ruthless.

The death toll from Sirte liberation battle since its start in mid-May has reached 210 killed and 1000 wounded, the spokesperson of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos (Solid Structure) has declared, criticizing the international community for not providing any support.

"We are fighting ISIS on behalf of the world, but they care about Syria and Iraq and ignore Libya," Brigadier Mohammed Al-Gosri told Press Solidarity.

ISIS loses more grounds in Sirte as Misrata fighters advance to city center

18 fighters from Misrata-led forces were killed and 60 others were wounded in clashes against ISIS militants inside Sirte on Tuesday.

Misrata-led forces launched an early morning offensive on the remnants of ISIS and managed to control new locations including Sirte Radio, Electricity Company, Baher neighborhood and many parts of 700 neighborhood.

Sources said ISIS snipers on top of the buildings are hindering the advance of the forces.

More than 30 people have been killed and dozens were injured in an explosion of stored ammunition and fireworks inside a container in the town of Qaraboulli.

Heavy clashes broke out early Tuesday between local fighters and brigades from Misrata, which have stationed in the town for nearly 5 years.
