The member of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) media office, Abdelmonem Al-Dersi, said the Libyan national football team is going to begin preparing for the match against Tunisia, which will be held on November 11, by holding a camp for the teammates in Algeria.

“The LFF has also flipped through new names for a new coach for the team.” Al-Dersi added.

He also indicated in a press statement that the LFF sports committee is keen on picking a local coach for the team in its upcoming World Cup qualifier against Tunisia.

“Jalal Damaja, the coach of Abi Al-Ashahar sports club, Rida Atiya, the coach of Al-Akhdar club, Abdelhafith Arbish who is coaching Al-Hilal, Clemente’s assistant and the coach of Al-Naser, Nasir Al-Hadiri, and the other Clemente’s assistant, Abdelatti Al-Gabbi, are all names on the table for the LFF to pick a new coach from.” Al-Dersi explained.

He also said that the sports committee will stress to the team’s administration to choose the best coach that fits for leading the team through 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

He added that all the Libyan footballers, who are playing for foreign clubs, and especially those who were at a rift with Clemente, will be called for playing, including Ahmed Ben Ali, Akram Al-Zuway.

“Some other important players, who argued with Clemente in the last period, will be present at the match such as the captain, Ali Salama.” Al-Dersi concluded.
