The Libyan Football Federation sent an urgent letter to the FIFA telling it that it had chosen Mustapha Tchaker stadium in Algeria’s Al-Blida city to hold the Libyan national team’s match against Tunisia on November 11 as part of the second round of 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The Libyan Football Federation decided earlier that it would hold its national team’s match against Tunisia, which will be on November 11, at Oran Stadium in Algeria. However, the Tunisian Football Federation did not agree with its Libyan counterpart and asked the FIFA to send a committee to evaluate the stadium.

Upon evaluation, the FIFA committee said the Stadium is not feasible for holding the match, and therefore; the FIFA rejected holding the match in Oran as the Libyan Football Federation suggested.

Mustapha Tchaker stadium is called the “horror stadium” by the Algerians as it had always hosted huge formal matches. The stadium is located in Al-Blida city southern Algiers and is considered one of the country’s best stadiums.
