A number of Libyan soccer stars participated in a solidarity match held by Ittehad Misrata FC in support for the abducted goalkeeper of Mahalla FC Mohammed Saydon.

Top players from Tripoli including Samir Abboud, Omar Mariemi, Ali Rahuma, Nadir Karra, Usama Al-Fazani, Khalifa Al-Kahwaji, Akram Al-Hummali took part in the match, which was held in Misrata.

The participants lifted up the player's photo in solidarity with his family and to send a message to his captors to release him.

Saydon was abducted in March in Tripoli by gunmen. His whereabouts is still unknown. He was one of Ittehad Misrata FC squad before transferring to Tripoli-based Mahalla FC.
