For the ninth time in its history, Al-Itihad has won the title of the Libyan Handball League after beating Al-Hilal from Benghazi 20-16 at Gharyan sports hall on Sunday.

Al-Hilal put in great performance against the winning Al-Itihad team, which brought the title back to its trophies' collection after 6 years of absence.

Al-Itihad qualified for the final match after it had won over Al-Ahli Tripoli 23-19 in the semifinal, while Al-Hilal qualified after winning over Al-Shurta 19-18.

The finals of the league saw the participation of seven teams divided into two groups; the first included Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli Tripoli, Al-Maurooj and Al-Najim Al-Afriqi, while the second included Al-Itihad, Al-Shurta and Al-Ahli Benghazi.
