A number of non-governmental organizations activists went on a sit-in in front of the Supreme Court’s headquarters in Tripoli to express rejection of the second draft of the Constitution Drafting Assembly’s Work Committee.

In a statement Saturday, the NOG activists announced rejection of the second and any upcoming draft that would not be based on the establishment of the right of nationalism for all Libyans as fixed basic principle on the political, economic and social levels.

“If the CDA fails to respond to our demands, we will look for alternative solutions to rescue the country from the current unpleasant crisis.” The statement reads.

Lately, the CDA’s Work Committee has announced a controversial draft that was described as biased to tribalism and regionalism and as distant from nationalism and equality, which led some of the CDA to boycott it in protest saying they won’t rejoin until the draft is canceled.
