The Head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Yousif Kseiya, said flights in both Mitiga and Misrata airports have been resumed at 2.pm Sunday after they have been partially suspended for the safety of travelers.

Kseiya told media outlets Sunday morning that flights in the two airports will stop at 8.am and resume at 2.pm just for the safety of the passengers and not for any reasons pertaining to the Salvation Government.

Similarly, the Mitiga airport Manager, Abu Bakir Abu Hameida, explained that the Civil Aviation Authority asked the airport’s administration Sunday morning not to fly any planes before 2.pm without clarifying the reasons behind their request.

In Misrata, the spokesperson of the Misrata airport, Sulaiman Al-Jahimy, said that the Civil Aviation Authority has also asked them not to allow any plane to take off before 2.pm.
