Two western members of the work committee the Constituent Assembly for Drafting the Constitution have resigned.

Abdulabset Al-Naas and Salim Kashlaf, both are representing the western region, submitted their resignation to the head of the Constituent Assembly in protest against partiality adopted by some assembly members instead of concord and unity.

Both members also complained about the division inclination, federalism thoughts, neglect of citizenship integration and inequality among Libyans regarding political representation and legislative councils that some of the Assembly members adopted.

"The performance of the Work Committee is confined to the will of certain members. There was always a wave for division and adoption of the federal option." Kashlaf said in his resignation letter.

With the resignation of Al-Naas and Kashlaf, the western region was left with two representatives only.
