Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation has mobilized forces in Sirte and is preparing to repel a large scale and imminent attack from ISIS militants, spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Ghosari, has declared.

Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous forces have reinforced their presence in the city, which has been placed on high security alert, in anticipation of the attack.

Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation has also deployed an armed convoy of 20 vehicles in Al-Sabah district, west of Sirte, and set up checkpoints at all entrances of the city, he added.

Al-Ghosari indicated that a large number of ISIS militants were able to regroup and are mobilizing forces to launch attacks on Sirte from both the south and east side of the city.

Earlier, Chief of Military Intelligence of the Central Region, Ismail Shukri, said that ISIS fugitives are moving freely in southern Sirte where Dignity Operation forces are positioned.
