The National Union of Libyan Workers is preparing to celebrate International Workers’ Day, said the Chairperson of the Union, Abdessalam Al-Tamimi, adding that all Libyan workers will celebrate the day next Sunday.

Al-Tamimi explained that Thursday will see a worldwide celebration of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, which is very significant because it takes interest in the safety and healthiness of workers as well as the safety of work locations, equipment and machines.

On Tuesday, the executive bureau of the National Union of Libyan Workers met with the Union’s departments in Tripoli in the presence of the Union’s Chairperson and heads of departments.

Al-Tamimi hailed the efforts of all the workers in the different Libyan institutions, companies and production locations, praising their constructive role and performance in different work fields despite the ongoing crisis in the country.
