The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant of the notorious senior commander of Al-Saiqa Force of Dignity Operation, Mahmoud Al-Werfalli, over war crimes he committed in and around Benghazi.

The General Syndicate of Aviation urged Monday all governments in Libya to pay the employees' salaries that have been delayed for over 15 months. The Chairman of the Syndicate, Abdelsalam Al-Tamimi, told the press that the employees will organize a sit-in if their salaries are not paid, adding that they will keep working even during the sit-ins.

Libyana Mobile Network Company said it had finished the hajjis departure lounges, services, and restaurants in Mitiga, Misrata and Benina airports. The media officials at the company Osama Shalabi added that the hajjis will be given 70% discount on their international calls while they are in Saudi Arabia.

The media office of the Ministry of Finance at the UN-proposed government said the salaries of the medical staff will be paid for those who have contracts signed in 2013, 2014, and 2015 in Tripoli, Tarhouna, Al-Khums, Janzour and Jafara. The office showed that the ministry downsized the number of staff as requested by the Audit Bureau and then delayed the salaries of those who were released until their legal issues are settled by the Audit Bureau.

Italy welcomed Libya’s decision to ban foreign vessels from the search and rescue zone off its coast. The Italian Foreign Minister said Libya is ready to create a search and rescue zone in its waters in coordination with EU, saying this could lead to balance in the Mediterranean.

The number of African migrants arriving in Italy after crossing the Mediterranean from Libya dropped by more than half in July from June, the European Union's border agency Frontex said on Monday. Frontex said 10,160 migrants arrived from Northern Africa on Italy's southern shores in July, 57 percent fewer than in June and the lowest level of arrivals in July since 2014.

The Tobruk-based House of Representatives said it ordered its constitutional and legislative committee to review the polls law and then provide it for discussion next Monday after reporting on its content to all of the MPs.

Save the Children has become the third NGO to suspend its migrant ferrying operations in the Mediterranean after Tripoli confirmed it would be blocking its waters to foreign ‘Search and Rescue’ (SAR) boats. The announcement came Sunday that its ship, the Vos Hestia, would remain on “standby” whilst it suspends operations along the Central Mediterranean migrant route between North Africa and Italy. Citing “safety and security assurances”, Save the Children joins the German Sea-Eye and French Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF/Doctors Without Borders) who ceased ferrying migrants to Europe over the weekend.

Libyan traveller, Abdul-Salam Al-Busiri, arrived Monday in Al-Sharqiyah town, south of Sabha, coming from Qatrun town, on the main road to Chad and Niger. Al-Busiri travelled the distance on foot carrying the slogan of peace entitled "Let us forgive and reconcile for the sake of the homeland". Local residents from different ages accompanied by security vehicles and military police gathered to welcome him upon his arrival. Al-Sharqiyah Municipality honoured Al-Busiri for his gesture and presented him a certificate of appreciation and recognition.
